I realize this is a stretch for this week's theme, but I think it's time we modify our assumptions about pigs: they are in fact rather clean!
By the way, my attempt to post a doodle a day for a week went down in flames after 4 days. It's a great exercise, but it's hard to keep up the momentum ;-)
That's is one hygienic pig! He has a cute ducky in the tub too :)
ReplyDeleteVery charming and adorable. Great shower cap too!
ReplyDeleteHe seems to be enjoying his scrubbly bubbly.
Hi Monica
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the kind words about Blacky.
Your illo is fantastic and I totally agree with you about pigs, they are very clean animals
maybe a stretch, but worth it for such a cute illo!
ReplyDeleteI love this piggie, and his cute shower cap!
ReplyDeleteAnd pigs are smart too! They know a little mud treatment is good for the skin. :)
He is adorable - and so is his yellow little duck.
ReplyDeleteToo bad your attempt to post a doodle a day for a week didn't work out - at least you've created four wonderful sketches! I always wonder how you come up with the ideas... I always have trouble to come up with just one in a week for IF ;)
Cute little clean piggy!
ReplyDeleteVery cute this little pig!The color is fantastic. Its watercolor?
ReplyDeleteRegards of Peru ;)
Wow, we had very similar ideas, except mine is a bear! What a cute piggy!
ReplyDeleteYour illo makes me smile :)
ReplyDeleteI love all your characters, Monica!! Sorry you had to give up on the doodles - hard work, isn't it?!!
ReplyDeletePlease don´t quit with "the doodle a day" exercise. Start over, change the rules, pick it with renewed strenght and more experience over your shoulders and test how far can you go on the next attemp.
ReplyDeleteIt am sure it was so enjoyable for you too see your results and progress as it was for us.
Go Monica, you can do it!
the piggy is so cute....!! lovely colors!
ReplyDeleteNext message for you, but that is because I have a blog award for you. Come and visit my blog to see.

Mônica,
ReplyDeleteMuchas gracias por tus palabras! muy apreciadas : )
Me gusta mucho la sensibilidad que manejas en tus ilustraciones, un saludo
Oh this is ADORABLE! (And don't worry about "stretching" it...I usually like the posts that are not the typical ones but are creative like this one.) I've always heard pigs are really clean animals. I'm on some crazy pig drawing frenzy right now...every post for the last bit has been of a PIG! :) BTW Thanks for your comments at my blog :)
ReplyDeleteMe gusta mucho.
ReplyDeleteSaludos
Thank you for sticking up for the pigs. They definitely need more advocates--I personally think they are absolutely wonderful, brilliant animals. Smarter than dogs and just as cute. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the shower cap and the rubber ducky--such a charming picture!
