Well, my idea was to say one can never have enough books, but it seems I won't have enough time to finish this illustration on time. :-)
Anyway, I thought you might enjoy a look at the partially finished piece. I'm thinking of using just watercolor and pencil on this one, we'll see. I'll post the finished illustration once I get it done!
Bem, minha idéia era dizer que não é possível ter livros suficientes, mas parece que eu não vou ter tempo suficiente para terminar esta ilustração. :-)
Ainda assim, achei que gostariam de vê-la. Estou pensando em usar somente aquarela e lápis, vamos ver. Colocarei a ilustração final quando terminá-la!

Hey Monica, though half-finished, it looks charming enough!
ReplyDeleteThis is so charming and lovely as is! And from one who has (six) bookcase floor to ceiling; one can never have enough books! Wonderful job!

A super scene, love the kitty! I certainly agree with the sentiment...can never have too many books.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, one can never have enough books!
ReplyDeleteAnd although you haven't had time to finish this illustration it's a pleasure to see it just as it is. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece Monica :)
I haven't been here as frequently as I wish, and am delighted with all the art you have created in this time.
Kisses ^.^

ReplyDeleteMonica, I understand completely! I usually end up posting after the theme turns for the week. Thank you for posting this none the less, as its very good, even unfinished. Your art reminds me of Stephan Cartwright's. Have you seen his art? Usborne Books was his publisher. I love his art! It is so happy and warm, like your art! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely just as it is. Always, however, it seems that we don't have enough time. I too have a passion for books. My book shelves are groaning...but I keep on finding new ways to squeeze just one more in there.
ReplyDeleteI will be checking back to see the finish *:)
